Holland

Contemplative Community "Ecce Homo"

They offer their prayers and sacrifices in reparation for the offenses committed against the Blessed Sacrament of the altar; and for the respect of man's dignity, "so that man may reflect the fact that he is created in the image and likeness of God, and for all the victims of the attacks against man's dignity".

The foundation of SSVM in this monastery located in the diocese of Roermond in the south of Holland, in a small town called Valkenburg, arose from a request from the Benedictine Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament to our Institute in 2007. They asked for contemplative sisters who could take care of the monastery in the future, thus preserving it for the religious life, the diocese and the Church.

The foundation of the community took place on September 22, 2007. The monastery is called "Regina Pacis" since it was built by the Benedictine Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament in 1957-1958. Their charism is perpetual adoration and reparation for offenses committed against the Blessed Sacrament of the altar. Since its foundation, following the tradition of all Benedictine monasteries of Perpetual Adoration, it has the privilege that Mary Most Holy is the Abbess, which also means for our sisters an honor and a particular protection.

Besides praying and offering sacrifices for the intentions entrusted to this monastery (to make reparation for the offenses committed against the Blessed Sacrament of the altar; and to pray for the respect of the dignity of man), they carry out other apostolates such as the preaching of the Spiritual Exercises according to St. Ignatius of Loyola, the welcoming of guests and preparation for the consecration to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Contemplative Community of St. Hildegard von Bingen

They offer their prayers and sacrifices for the pastoral ministry of bishops.

The sisters live in a small town in Luxembourg City, in the former Carmel of Cents, which has been considered a Spiritual Center for some years now. Its mission consists mainly in the witness of the life of prayer, especially through the singing of the liturgy of the hours and Adoration.

The Spiritual Center is also home to a community of apostolic sisters and an IVE community. They are dedicated primarily to catechesis and the oratory, since this place is very popular with young families. Spiritual exercises are also preached, in which the contemplative sisters give assistance.

During the month of June they make a novena of prayer and study in community, in preparation for the Solemnity of St. Peter and St. Paul, the date on which they celebrate the intention of their monastery (June 29).
